Chairman

Frank McCain, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the United Way of Greater Greensboro, where he leads one of the region’s most influential nonprofit organizations dedicated to advancing equity, education, financial stability, and community well-being. Under his leadership, United Way has strengthened cross-sector partnerships, expanded community impact initiatives, and elevated data-driven strategies to address the most pressing challenges facing Greater Greensboro.

A proud alumnus of North Carolina A&T State University, Mr. McCain carries forward a deep legacy of leadership, service, and social responsibility. He is the son of the late Franklin McCain, Sr., one of the A&T Four whose courageous sit-in at the Woolworth lunch counter in 1960 helped ignite the modern Civil Rights Movement. Inspired by this legacy, Mr. McCain has dedicated his career to building inclusive systems and empowering communities through collaboration, accountability, and sustained investment.

Prior to joining United Way of Greater Greensboro, Mr. McCain built an accomplished career in nonprofit leadership, public service, and organizational development, with a strong focus on strategic planning, community engagement, and measurable outcomes. His work reflects a commitment to aligning resources with impact, ensuring that philanthropy, corporate partnerships, and public institutions work together to create lasting change.

Mr. McCain is widely respected for his steady leadership, thoughtful vision, and ability to unite diverse stakeholders around a shared mission. Through his service, he continues to honor his family’s historic legacy while shaping a future rooted in opportunity, equity, and collective progress for generations to come.

Secretary

Dr. Kimberly J. Sowell is a transformational leader and proud three-time graduate of North Carolina A&T State University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, a Master of Science in Adult Education, and a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from the University. Her educational journey and distinguished career reflect a lifelong commitment to leadership, service, institutional excellence, and the advancement of others.

Dr. Sowell brings more than three decades of experience spanning the corporate, higher education, and public sectors. She began her career with Deloitte, auditing organizations in the government, nonprofit, and insurance industries. She later returned to North Carolina A&T, serving in several leadership positions, including University Treasurer, Special Assistant to the Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance, and Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Administration.

Her public-service career included several senior leadership roles with the City of Greensboro, culminating in her appointment as Assistant City Manager. In that position, she provided executive oversight for numerous municipal departments and initiatives involving infrastructure, economic development, workforce development, transportation, water resources, equity and inclusion, and minority- and women-owned business participation. From 2022 to 2024, she served as Durham County Manager, leading an organization responsible for delivering critical services to one of North Carolina’s largest and most dynamic communities.

Today, Dr. Sowell serves as President of Preeminence Consulting, where she applies her extensive experience to leadership development, coaching, speaking, and organizational transformation. She is also an author, mentor, and accomplished community leader committed to helping individuals and organizations reach their highest potential.

As a member of the Aggie Athletic Foundation Board of Directors, Dr. Sowell brings exceptional expertise in finance, governance, administration, organizational strategy, and community engagement. Her commitment to her alma mater and passion for developing future leaders strengthen the Foundation’s mission to provide North Carolina A&T student-athletes with the resources, opportunities, and support needed to excel in competition, in the classroom, and throughout their lives.

Stephanie Turpin

Stephanie Turpin

Treasurer

Stephanie Turpin is an accomplished finance and operations executive and a proud graduate of North Carolina A&T State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She also holds an Executive Master of Business Administration with a concentration in International Business. Her career reflects extensive experience in financial management, organizational operations, higher education, healthcare, and public-sector administration.

Turpin currently serves as Director of Operations for the United Negro College Fund’s Institute for Capacity Building. In this role, she helps advance initiatives designed to strengthen the operational effectiveness, sustainability, and long-term success of historically Black colleges and universities. Her leadership supports the Institute’s mission of helping institutions build capacity, improve performance, and create greater opportunities for students.

Prior to joining UNCF, Turpin served as a Project Director at Morehouse School of Medicine, where she supported the planning, coordination, and implementation of institutional programs and strategic initiatives. Her professional background also includes serving as Director of Finance and Business Operations for Atlanta Housing. Across these positions, she has developed considerable expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, operational planning, program management, process improvement, and organizational accountability.

As Treasurer of the Aggie Athletic Foundation, Turpin provides valuable financial oversight and supports the responsible stewardship of resources entrusted to the Foundation. Her experience helps strengthen financial transparency, organizational sustainability, and strategic decision-making as the AAF works to expand support for student-athlete scholarships, athletic programs, facilities, and development opportunities.

Through her professional leadership and service to her alma mater, Stephanie Turpin demonstrates an enduring commitment to institutional excellence, sound financial management, and the transformative power of HBCUs. Her dedication and Aggie Pride help advance the Foundation’s mission while building a stronger future for North Carolina A&T Athletics and generations of student-athletes.

Katreshia Louis-Verrett

Katreshia Louis-Verrett

Athletics Director

Katreshia Louis-Verrett is an accomplished athletics executive, attorney, former Division I student-athlete, and the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at North Carolina A&T State University. With more than 20 years of experience in collegiate athletics, she brings extensive expertise in sports administration, NCAA compliance, Title IX, name, image, and likeness strategy, organizational leadership, and student-athlete development.

Louis-Verrett oversees North Carolina A&T’s 17 intercollegiate athletic programs, more than 300 student-athletes, and nearly 50 coaches and staff members. Her leadership emphasizes academic achievement, competitive excellence, regulatory compliance, student-athlete well-being, and ensuring that Aggie Athletics has the resources, guidance, and organizational support needed for sustained success.

Her return to Aggieland in 2026 marked the continuation of a longstanding relationship with North Carolina A&T. From 2011 to 2017, she served in several senior athletics leadership positions, overseeing compliance, departmental human resources, eight athletic programs, and 33 staff members, including seven head coaches. She also served as Deputy Title IX Coordinator, advisor to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and athletics liaison to the Faculty Athletics Representative.

Before returning to A&T, Louis-Verrett spent nine years at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she served as Deputy Athletics Director, Senior Associate Athletics Director, and Senior Woman Administrator. As a member of UAB Athletics’ senior leadership team, she provided administrative and sport oversight while helping guide the department through a period of significant growth and achievement. Earlier in her career, she spent five years at Georgia Tech, where she served as Assistant Director of Compliance and worked closely with student-athletes, coaches, and staff to uphold NCAA requirements.

Louis-Verrett earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a master’s degree in Sport Administration from the University of Miami. She received her Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center. As a four-year member of Miami’s track and field team, she helped the Hurricanes capture consecutive Big East championships in 1998 and 1999. Her experience as a collegiate athlete gives her a personal understanding of the discipline, pressures, opportunities, and support required for student-athletes to thrive.

Her leadership extends to the national level through service on NCAA committees and professional organizations. She serves on the NCAA Division I Progress-Toward-Degree Waivers Committee and has been actively involved with Women Leaders in College Sports and the National Association for Athletics Compliance. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Minority Opportunities Athletic Association.

As Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and a member of the Aggie Athletic Foundation Board of Directors, Louis-Verrett helps ensure that the Foundation’s fundraising and engagement strategies align with the department’s most important priorities. Her leadership strengthens collaboration among Athletics, the University, alumni, donors, and corporate partners while advancing opportunities, resources, and transformational experiences for current and future Aggie student-athletes.

Shamika Pyfrom serves as the Associate Athletic Director for Athletic Development and Executive Director of the Aggie Athletic Foundation (AAF) at North Carolina A&T State University. In this dual capacity, she provides strategic leadership for the university’s athletic fundraising efforts, driving initiatives that strengthen resources for scholarships, facilities, and student-athlete development.

Since the AAF's formation in 2011, following the merger of the historic Aggie Club and Victory Club, Pyfrom has been a central figure in guiding the Foundation’s growth and impact. Under her leadership, the AAF has achieved historic milestones, including surpassing the $1 million fundraising mark in 2020, expanding donor engagement through signature events, and supporting major capital projects such as the Glover Sports Performance Center.

With a passion for building relationships and advancing Aggie Athletics' mission, Pyfrom works closely with alumni, corporate partners, and community supporters to create unmatched opportunities for investment and engagement. Her vision continues to strengthen the culture of giving at North Carolina A&T, ensuring that student-athletes have the resources and facilities needed to compete at the highest levels while excelling academically.

Darnell Brame is the Assistant Director of the Aggie Athletic Foundation (AAF) at North Carolina A&T State University, where he plays a key role in advancing the university’s athletic fundraising initiatives. In this position, he supports the AAF's strategic vision by managing donor relations, coordinating engagement opportunities, and helping grow resources that directly support student-athlete scholarships, athletic programs, and facility enhancements.

Dedicated to fostering a culture of giving and community, Brame works closely with alumni, corporate partners, and friends of the university to strengthen connections and create meaningful opportunities for involvement. Through his efforts, the AAF continues to provide exclusive donor experiences, expand its membership base, and support the championship tradition of Aggie Athletics. With a passion for service and Aggie Pride, Brame is committed to ensuring that North Carolina A&T’s student-athletes have the support and resources they need to excel both on the field and in the classroom.

Kimberly Gatling, Esq.

Kimberly B. Gatling is an accomplished intellectual-property attorney, corporate leader, and proud 1996 graduate of North Carolina A&T State University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, graduating cum laude, before receiving her Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School in 1999.

Gatling is a partner and Chief Cultural Engagement Officer at Fox Rothschild LLP. As a U.S.-registered patent attorney and North Carolina Board-Certified Specialist in Trademark Law, she concentrates her practice on intellectual property prosecution, licensing, and litigation. She advises clients on patents, trademarks, copyrights, software, information technology, privacy, data security, and the management of intellectual-property portfolios in the United States and abroad.

Her leadership extends well beyond the legal profession. Gatling is a member and former chair of the North Carolina A&T State University Board of Trustees and previously chaired the University’s Board of Visitors. She also serves on the boards of Truliant Federal Credit Union, Culp Inc., the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, and the Cone Health Foundation. Her extensive community service has included leadership with the United Way of Greater Greensboro, Gateway Research Park, the North Carolina A&T Real Estate Foundation, the North Carolina Bar Association, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro, and other civic and cultural organizations.

Gatling’s professional excellence has earned significant recognition. She was inducted into the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame in 2025 for her achievements in law and has been repeatedly recognized among North Carolina’s leading attorneys and business leaders. These honors reflect her commitment to professional distinction, inclusive leadership, community service, and creating opportunities for future generations.

As the North Carolina A&T Board of Trustees representative to the Aggie Athletic Foundation, Gatling brings valuable expertise in governance, law, organizational strategy, risk management, and institutional leadership. Maseo Bolin

Maseo Bolin

Hall of Fame President

Maseo Bolin is an accomplished sales leader, former standout quarterback, and proud alumnus of North Carolina A&T State University. His professional career and continued service to the University reflect a lasting commitment to leadership, teamwork, excellence, and the championship tradition of Aggie Athletics.

Professionally, Bolin has built a successful career in sales leadership with GSK, including service as a District Sales Manager within its consumer healthcare business. Throughout his career, he has developed valuable experience in team leadership, customer engagement, relationship management, market execution, and organizational performance.

Bolin made an enduring mark on North Carolina A&T football as a four-year starting quarterback during his 1991–95 career. He helped lead the Aggies to the 1992 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference championship and established a then-school record with 2,262 passing yards during the 1995 season. He completed his collegiate career with 6,607 passing yards, 500 completions, and 48 touchdown passes, securing his place among the most accomplished quarterbacks in program history.

In recognition of his athletic achievements, Bolin was inducted into the North Carolina A&T Sports Hall of Fame in 2016. He now serves as President of the Hall of Fame, providing leadership to an organization dedicated to honoring distinguished Aggie student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and supporters while preserving the University’s rich athletic history for future generations.

As the Hall of Fame President representative on the Aggie Athletic Foundation Board of Directors, Bolin brings corporate leadership experience, a former student-athlete’s perspective, and a deep appreciation for North Carolina A&T’s athletic legacy. His service strengthens collaboration among former athletes, alumni, donors, and supporters while advancing the Foundation’s efforts to provide resources and opportunities that help current and future Aggie student-athletes succeed.

Tajuan Wilson, Ed.D., CDE

Vice Chancellor and Chief of Staff

Dr. TaJuan R. Wilson is a respected higher education executive, strategist, educator, and advocate with 20 years of experience in institutional strategy, governance, executive leadership, and organizational transformation. He currently serves as Vice Chancellor and Chief of Staff at North Carolina A&T State University and as Co-Interim Vice Chancellor for University Advancement.

As Vice Chancellor and Chief of Staff, Wilson serves as a principal advisor to Chancellor James R. Martin II and as a member of the Chancellor’s Cabinet. He coordinates executive priorities, strengthens collaboration across University divisions, and supports strategic decision-making that advances institutional performance, accountability, and long-term growth. His leadership portfolio includes executive operations, organizational alignment, communication, and the implementation of initiatives supporting A&T’s continued national prominence.

Before joining North Carolina A&T, Wilson held leadership and faculty positions at Georgia Southern University, the University of Iowa, the Medical University of South Carolina, Missouri State University, GEAR UP Wyoming, and Southern Arkansas University. He also advised colleges, universities, presidents, chancellors, and governing boards nationwide through DSG Global’s Education Practice, providing guidance on executive recruitment, leadership strategy, organizational development, and institutional transformation.

A proud first-generation college graduate, Wilson earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Mass Communications from Ouachita Baptist University. He also holds a Master of Public Administration with an emphasis in government and nonprofit management, a Master of Science in Leadership and Human Resources Development from Louisiana State University, and a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration and Instructional Leadership from Lindenwood University. He has completed executive education focused on leadership, higher education law, executive coaching, and organizational culture at Cornell University, Yale University, Stanford University, and Vanderbilt University Law School.

Wilson’s commitment to expanding educational opportunity extends beyond his professional responsibilities. He is the founder of the Dr. TaJuan Wilson Scholarship Foundation, which helps reduce financial barriers for first-generation and historically underrepresented students. His service and leadership have earned numerous honors, including the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Award, induction into the Federal TRIO Programs Hall of Fame at Ouachita Baptist University, and the 2021 Lindenwood University Young Alumni Award.

As the University Advancement representative to the Aggie Athletic Foundation, Wilson brings extensive expertise in governance, institutional strategy, executive leadership, organizational alignment, and relationship building. His leadership helps strengthen collaboration among the University, Athletics, alumni, donors, and community partners while advancing the Foundation’s efforts to expand philanthropic support and create transformational opportunities for North Carolina A&T student-athletes.

Shandette Harper is an accomplished financial management professional, a dedicated public servant, and a proud 1996 graduate of North Carolina A&T State University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, establishing the foundation for a distinguished career centered on fiscal responsibility, accountability, and organizational stewardship.

Harper has served as Comptroller for the City of Hampton, Virginia, since 1997. With nearly three decades of municipal government experience, she brings extensive knowledge of governmental accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and the responsible management of public resources. Her longstanding service reflects a commitment to accuracy, transparency, and the maintenance of the public trust.

Her devotion to North Carolina A&T extends well beyond her professional accomplishments. Harper has been a consistent supporter of Aggie Athletics and was recognized in an Aggie Athletic Foundation Donor Spotlight for her commitment to advancing opportunities for student-athletes. She has also supported University alumni activities, class reunion initiatives, and community service efforts that demonstrate A&T’s enduring tradition of leadership and service.

As a member of the Aggie Athletic Foundation Board of Directors, Harper chairs the Donor Growth and Diversification Committee. In this role, she helps expand the Foundation’s donor community by cultivating relationships with alumni, businesses, corporate partners, and supporters beyond the University’s traditional networks. Her leadership helps create broader pathways for individuals and organizations to invest in scholarships, athletic programs, facilities, and student-athlete development.

Through her financial expertise, public service, philanthropy, and unwavering Aggie Pride, Shandette Harper exemplifies the values of integrity, excellence, and commitment. Her service strengthens the Foundation’s ability to build sustainable support for North Carolina A&T Athletics and create a lasting impact for current and future generations of Aggie student-athletes.

Jeff Thigpen

Jeff Thigpen

Board Member

Jeff Thigpen is an accomplished public administrator, elected official, author, community advocate, scholar, and former collegiate student-athlete whose career has been defined by innovation, integrity, and service. He earned bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Justice and Policy Studies from Guilford College, where he also played baseball, and a Master of Public Affairs from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies at North Carolina A&T State University.

Thigpen has served as the Guilford County Register of Deeds since his election in 2004. Under his leadership, the office has become recognized for its use of advanced technology, organizational transformation, fiscal stewardship, and commitment to exceptional customer service. His administration has expanded electronic access to public records, digitized historical records dating to 1771, strengthened protections against identity and property fraud, and introduced valuable public services such as Passport Services, Property Fraud Alert, Slave Deeds Research, Thank a Vet, and the Good Grief Podcast.

Before becoming Register of Deeds, Thigpen served on the Guilford County Board of Commissioners from 1998 to 2004, including service as vice chairman. During his tenure, he advocated for increased investment in public education, regional transportation, responsible government spending, and stronger collaboration among public agencies. He also served as Assistant Director of Admissions at Guilford College, helping students and families navigate the path to higher education.

Thigpen is the author of *On Point: Voices and Values of the Young Elected Officials*, which explores the experiences, perspectives, and principles of emerging public leaders. His professional work and academic research interests center on leadership, community development, public policy, and strengthening opportunities for individuals and neighborhoods throughout Guilford County. A certified mediator, he has also supported initiatives addressing government efficiency, human services, mental health, economic opportunity, youth development, and conflict resolution.

His community leadership has included service with Communities in Schools, the Greensboro Economic Development Council, the Guilford County Coalition on Infant Mortality, the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, the Piedmont Interfaith Council, the Triad Highland Games, and the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce’s Other Voices program. His contributions have earned recognition from the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners, the Greensboro Regional REALTORS Association, Guilford College, the Latino Community Coalition of Guilford County, and other civic organizations.

As a member of the Aggie Athletic Foundation Board of Directors and a doctoral student at North Carolina A&T, Thigpen brings a distinctive combination of public leadership, policy expertise, community relationships, organizational innovation, and an expanding connection to the University. His experience as a former collegiate student-athlete further informs his appreciation for the discipline, teamwork, mentorship, and institutional support required for student-athletes to succeed. Through his service, Thigpen helps strengthen community partnerships and expand the resources and opportunities available to current and future generations of Aggie student-athletes.

Donna Ford is an accomplished corporate executive, entrepreneur, community builder, and proud 1986 graduate of North Carolina A&T State University. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and distinguished herself as a student leader, serving as Miss Freshman and performing with the Blue and Gold Marching Machine.

Ford brings more than 30 years of experience in facilities management, client relationship management, strategic account leadership, business development, and organizational growth. She currently serves as Vice President of Account Management at SodexoMagic, where she helps lead the company’s HBCU strategy, client retention, relationship management, and account growth throughout its North American portfolio. Since joining Sodexo in 2012 and the SodexoMagic leadership team in 2019, she has built trusted partnerships by combining strategic thinking, attentive leadership, and a commitment to creating lasting institutional value.

Ford is also the founder and CEO of LOAT—Ladies of A&T—a national alumnae community of more than 13,000 Aggie women across multiple markets. Established to place purpose behind Aggie Pride, LOAT promotes community building, philanthropy, economic and women’s empowerment, personal wellness, and meaningful engagement with North Carolina A&T. Under Ford’s leadership, the organization has supported University programs, including women’s athletics, while connecting alumnae through service, fellowship, professional development, and shared experiences.

Her commitment to A&T includes years of service through the Atlanta Alumni Chapter, where she held several leadership positions, including chapter president. She also serves on the Chancellor’s Executive Roundtable and has encouraged generations of Aggies to contribute their time, talents, and resources in support of the University.

As a member of the Aggie Athletic Foundation Board of Directors, Ford chairs the Board Engagement and Governance Committee. In this role, she helps strengthen board accountability, clarify philanthropic expectations, and cultivate a culture in which leaders demonstrate their commitment through active participation and giving. Her corporate expertise, entrepreneurial vision, and lifelong Aggie Pride support the Foundation’s mission to expand opportunities and resources for student-athletes while advancing a lasting legacy of excellence, impact, and service.

Board Member

Tim Vangel is an accomplished professional sports executive, former student-athlete, and proud 2004 graduate of North Carolina A&T State University. He earned a degree in Chemical Engineering and competed for the Aggies as a left-handed pitcher from 2000 to 2003. His academic and athletic experiences strengthened the problem-solving skills, discipline, preparation, and teamwork that have guided his professional career.

Vangel serves as General Manager of the Greensboro Grasshoppers, the Pittsburgh Pirates’ High-A affiliate. Now in his 23rd year with the organization, he provides leadership across business operations, facility management, staffing, sponsorships, sales, promotions, game-day execution, fan engagement, and community partnerships.

His career with the Grasshoppers began while he was an A&T student, when he completed internships with the organization during summer breaks. After graduating, he joined the team full-time as Director of Stadium Operations and was promoted to Assistant General Manager in 2005. In October 2023, he was named General Manager, completing an impressive progression from student intern to the organization’s senior executive leader.

Vangel’s commitment to service extends beyond professional baseball. He is a proud supporter of the Aggie Baseball Alumni Association, a member of the Aggie Athletic Foundation, and a former board member of the North Carolina A&T State University Alumni Association, Inc. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Greensboro Sports Foundation, supporting initiatives that strengthen athletics and community engagement throughout the region.

As a member of the Aggie Athletic Foundation Board of Directors, Vangel brings valuable expertise in sports management, facility operations, corporate partnerships, event production, marketing, and fan engagement. His experience as an Aggie student-athlete provides an important perspective as the Foundation works to expand resources, opportunities, and support for current and future generations of North Carolina A&T student-athletes.

Duke H. Meekins is a retired technology and defense-industry professional, dedicated alumnus, and proud 1977 graduate of North Carolina A&T State University. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology, establishing the foundation for a career characterized by disciplined leadership, collaboration, and service.

Throughout his professional career, Meekins worked with organizations including ARES Corporation and L3 Communications. His experience in technology-driven, mission-focused environments strengthened his expertise in strategic planning, organizational coordination, stakeholder engagement, and the successful execution of complex initiatives.

Meekins has maintained a strong connection to North Carolina A&T through philanthropy, alumni engagement, and service to Aggie Athletics. He has been recognized among the University’s supporters and has participated in initiatives such as the Washington, D.C., Aggie Athletic Foundation Golf Classic, which helps generate resources and awareness in support of the University and its student-athletes.

As a member of the Aggie Athletic Foundation Board of Directors, Meekins co-chairs the Donor Engagement and Stewardship Committee with Terrence M. Williams. The committee helps shape the Foundation’s marketing and communications strategy, strengthen its brand narrative, enhance the AAF website, coordinate social media engagement, and communicate the evolving importance of name, image, and likeness opportunities for student-athletes.

Through his professional experience, philanthropic leadership, and unwavering Aggie Pride, Duke Meekins helps strengthen relationships among alumni, donors, former student-athletes, and supporters. His service advances the Foundation’s efforts to expand its reach, cultivate lasting donor relationships, and provide North Carolina A&T student-athletes with the resources and opportunities needed to excel.

Kellie Fletcher is a proud 2007 graduate of North Carolina A&T State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Design. While at A&T, she served as captain of the cheerleading team, developing a lifelong appreciation for Aggie Athletics, teamwork, leadership, and the student-athlete experience.

Professionally, Fletcher serves as Associate Director of Project Management at Turner & Townsend Heery. With more than 15 years of experience in architecture, facilities planning, and construction project management, she has helped guide complex institutional and public-sector projects from planning and design through construction and completion. Her career includes service as a project manager with the Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission and as an architectural designer at Savannah State University.

Fletcher is also a respected advocate for women, diversity, and emerging professionals in the construction industry. She has served as President of the Atlanta Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction and chairs NAWIC’s national Emerging Professionals Committee, which promotes mentorship, education, networking, and career development. She is also a contributing author to The HBCU Experience: North Carolina A&T State University Edition.

Her commitment to athletics continued beyond her undergraduate years through her service as head cheerleading coach at Savannah State University. As a member of the Aggie Athletic Foundation Board of Directors, Fletcher brings a valuable combination of professional expertise, athletic experience, mentorship, and unwavering Aggie Pride. She remains committed to expanding opportunities for student-athletes and strengthening the legacy of excellence, impact, and service that defines North Carolina A&T.

Retired Lieutenant Colonel Charles M. Coffin Jr. is a proud 1976 graduate of North Carolina A&T State University, where he earned a degree in Business Administration and received his commission through the Air Force ROTC program. During a distinguished 22-year military career, he served as an acquisition, contracting, and program-management officer, leading complex procurement initiatives and supporting major Department of Defense programs. He later served as a senior procurement analyst with the Department of Defense.

Now residing in Greensboro, Charles remains actively engaged with North Carolina A&T through mentoring, alumni service, philanthropy, and advocacy. He is a member of the Gate City Alumni Chapter and serves on the Aggie Athletic Foundation Board of Directors. Charles brings disciplined leadership, a servant’s heart, and an unwavering commitment to strengthening opportunities for Aggie student-athletes.

Jeff Henderson is a proud 1989 graduate of North Carolina A&T State University, where he earned his degree in Architectural Engineering. A native of Petersburg, Virginia, Jeff currently resides in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, just outside Washington, DC, with his wife of 32 years, Dana Montgomery Henderson, a 1990 Computer Science graduate of North Carolina A&T, and their two sons, Trent and Trace. A dedicated alumnus, Jeff has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to the University through service on the North Carolina A&T Board of Visitors and as President of the Washington, DC Aggie Club.

Professionally, Jeff is a highly accomplished construction executive with more than 36 years of industry experience, having led complex, high-impact projects across the residential, hospitality, government, healthcare, education, and institutional sectors. He currently serves as Vice President of Construction at Banneker Ventures, a boutique development and construction firm recognized for transformative urban projects. Prior to joining Banneker Ventures, Jeff was Vice President of Operations at Donohoe Construction, overseeing more than $180 million in active multifamily and hospitality developments across Arlington, Bethesda, and Reston.

Jeff’s leadership experience also includes senior roles with Smoot Construction and Lendlease, where he managed teams responsible for delivering over $1 billion in construction volume. His project portfolio features nationally significant and iconic developments, including renovations for the Smithsonian Institution, upgrades to the National Archives, the Avidian Condominiums, and the Bowie State University Entrepreneurship Living and Learning Center.

Jeff holds an MBA in Finance and Real Estate from American University, complementing his technical foundation from North Carolina A&T. He remains deeply committed to mentorship and workforce development through college recruiting and professional guidance, while also serving on the Board of Covenant House Greater Washington, supporting vulnerable youth and families across the region.

Board Member

Angela B. Jones is an accomplished healthcare executive, retired military officer, and proud graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from North Carolina A&T, where her academic experience helped develop the analytical thinking, discipline, and leadership skills that became the foundation of her successful careers in healthcare and the military.

Jones currently serves as Assistant Director of Patient Care Services for Behavioral Health at Emory Healthcare, providing leadership and operational oversight for inpatient behavioral health and neuromodulation services. With more than 25 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, she has served across behavioral health, interventional psychiatry, inpatient rehabilitation, ambulatory services, and medical-surgical nursing. Throughout her career, she has led multidisciplinary teams, managed complex clinical operations, and advanced initiatives focused on patient safety, quality improvement, workforce engagement, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

Her extensive educational background reflects a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. In addition to her Computer Science degree from North Carolina A&T, Jones earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University, a Master of Health Administration and Master of Business Administration from Pfeiffer University, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. She is also board-certified as a Nurse Executive.

Jones earned her military commission through North Carolina A&T and went on to complete a distinguished 30-year career in the United States Army and North Carolina National Guard, retiring at the rank of Colonel. Her military service strengthened her expertise in strategic leadership, organizational readiness, team development, crisis response, and mission-focused decision-making. Her advancement to one of the military’s senior officer ranks reflects her dedication, resilience, professionalism, and lifelong commitment to serving others.

As a member of the Aggie Athletic Foundation Board of Directors, Jones brings an exceptional combination of healthcare administration, military leadership, technology, strategic planning, risk management, and organizational development experience. Her ability to lead people, strengthen operations, and guide complex organizations supports the Foundation’s efforts to expand resources and opportunities for North Carolina A&T student-athletes.
