COMMITEE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
A COLLECTIVE EFFORT
The committee structure of The Aggie Athletic Foundation, is intentionally designed to strengthen governance, expand engagement, and grow sustainable support for Aggie Athletics. Each committee plays a distinct role in ensuring transparency, accountability, and effective decision-making throughout the organization. By fostering collaboration between board members, alumni, donors, and university stakeholders, the foundation leverages diverse perspectives to guide strategic initiatives.
Board Expectations Committee
Chaired by Donna Ford, this committee is dedicated to fostering a culture of generosity and shared responsibility across the board. By clarifying board giving expectations and outlining clear philanthropic benchmarks, the committee encourages each member to lead by example. The focus is on promoting strategic, mission-aligned philanthropy that sustains the university’s vision and empowers its long-term goals.
Communication Strategy Committee
Co-chaired by Duke Meekins and Terrence Williams, the Communication Strategy Committee is responsible for shaping a cohesive and compelling narrative that strengthens the university’s brand and outreach. This team drives a unified marketing and communications approach, which includes refining NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) messaging, spearheading website enhancements to improve user experience, and coordinating dynamic social media engagement across platforms.
Target Accountability Committee
Led by Kim Gatling, the Target Accountability Committee upholds transparency and operational excellence within all fundraising activities. The committee implements robust donor tracking systems to monitor progress and outcomes, ensuring that every contribution is acknowledged and utilized effectively. In addition, the committee sets and enforces clear communication standards, providing regular updates and maintaining trust with donors, board members, and the university community.
Corporate Sponsors Committee (chair to be named)
The Corporate Sponsors Committee is charged with seeking out and securing strategic corporate partnerships that align with the university’s mission and priorities. By leveraging board relationships and identifying procurement opportunities, the committee works to establish mutually beneficial collaborations with corporate partners. Their efforts focus on maximizing corporate support, expanding the university’s reach, and generating new revenue streams to support athletic and academic initiatives.
Target Students & Young Alumni Committee,
Co-chaired by Kellie Fletcher and Santana Baker, this committee is committed to cultivating a lifelong habit of giving among students and recent graduates. Through innovative on-campus engagement activities, peer-to-peer outreach, and authentic storytelling, the committee seeks to connect students and young alumni to the university’s mission in meaningful ways.
The Target Non-Alumni Committee
Chaired by Shandette Harper, the Target Non-Alumni Committee is focused on expanding the university’s donor base by reaching out to supporters beyond the traditional alumni network. By engaging community members, local businesses, and corporate supporters, the committee ensures that Aggie Athletics and other university programs benefit from a broad and diverse coalition of champions.
